FP&A Specialist Our client in Canada is looking for a Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist to help build and improve our budgeting, reporting and analytical processes. We have a world class payment processing solution, and we are building a financial reporting platform to match. Who are you? You enjoy exploring accounting data, building reports, models and dashboards, and gleaning insights from the results. You have an insatiable intellectual curiosity, particularly regarding business and finance. You understand the financial drivers behind operational success and aren't afraid to make recommendations to improve results. What will you do? Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, you would be responsible for building, updating and improving the divisional and corporate budgets and quarterly rolling forecasts, along with regular and ad-hoc reports, analysis and recommendations for finance, accounting and management. You will also support the finance team's modeling and analysis of products, acquisitions, and financings. You will work with our in-house data team to integrate operational and financial data to improve forecasting accuracy, risk-adjust project ROI, and enhance unit economics. You will build relationships with the leaders of other business units and be involved in budgeting across the will be go-to resource for internal and external financial reports, dashboards and visualizations. Requirements Must Have Post-secondary degree (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Commerce or related). 2+ years of financial reporting experience, business analysis experience is considered. Experience with financial statement production and/or analysis. Knowledge of accounting data hierarchies and structure. Favourite keyboard shortcut in Excel isn't Ctrl-c or Ctrl-v. Strategic mindset with the ability to understand the financial implications of key decisions. Strong communication skills in written, spoken, and visualization mediums. Experience working with technical teams. Excellent relationship management skills. Nice to Have Working toward or having completed a financial designation (CPA, CFA, etc.) is considered an asset. Experience working with budgeting & reporting software is considered an asset. Knowledge of the inner workings of the payments ecosystem is considered an asset.
