Job Description Valiant Harbor International, LLC is seeking an experienced, versatile AI/ML Technical SETA to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) activities. The AI/ML Technical SETA will play a crucial role in the planning, coordination, and execution of related activities within theResilient Systems Office (RSO). The RSO's focus is to develop capabilities, business models, and integrations that endure health, social, and economic crises to advance American health and wellbeing. Job Responsibilities Provide technical guidance to external teams working on large-scale data projects. Ensure robust and scalable data solutions are implemented with a strong focus on security and compliance. Analyze scientific and technical data with respect to novelty, rigor and robustness. Evaluate and advise on cloud-based technologies and architectures. Under the leadership of a PM, build and maintain detailed program plans. Assist in writing and review of technical documents and solicitations. Job Requirements: PhD. in AI, Machine Learning, or related field. Ability to obtain an HHS/NIH Public Trust security clearance. 5+ years of experience preferred in roles such as AI research Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist specializing in AI/ML. Proficiency with large cloud-based systems like Google Big query, Amazon Redshirt, and others like Hadoop, Spark, etc. Ability to implement and manage data warehousing solutions, data-lakes and ETL processes (extract, transform, and load) in cloud environment at a terabytes or perabytes scale is a plus. Proficiency with training on one or more models, such as large language models, transformer-based models, state space models, and variational autoencoders. At least 2 first author publications in the fields described above (AI/ML). Experience with synthetic data generation and analysis is a plus. Basic administrative tasks such as PowerPoint slide development and collecting, sorting, analyzing, and writing Internal programmatic reports/briefings on relevant topics in a health-related field. Ability to brainstorm with colleagues, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
