As a Manufacturing Team Leader, you are entrusted with overseeing the production manufacturing of components, ensuring the efficient transformation of raw materials into finished goods through machining and assembly processes. In addition to managing people and resources, you play a pivotal role in upholding quality standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Overall Purpose of the Role: The Manufacturing Team Leader is a pivotal figure responsible for directing the work of others while possessing a comprehensive understanding of both the work at hand and the responsibilities inherent in leadership. You are entrusted with steering the team toward success by effectively managing resources, fostering open communication, and nurturing personal and professional growth among team members. Your ability to navigate changing goals while maintaining a firm grasp on the company's trajectory is critical, as you serve as a linchpin in driving training initiatives, skill development, and overall departmental success. Key Responsibilities: Deploying personnel and resources appropriately and efficiently to meet delivery requirement, uphold quality standards and priority safety Ensuring that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures Championing 6S Practices Leading by example - following the escalation procedure for quality concerns Contributing to continuous improvement efforts including training and development Aligning and orienting the team to targets, responsibilities and processes Performing root cause analysis to resolve issues Leading operators within your area including providing daily management and support, guiding them to quality outcomes and managing performance. Communicating with other Team Leads and Area Manager to facilitate collaboration Skills and Attributes: Demonstrate initiative and sound judgment in work methods, effectively interpreting and delegating work requirements and goals. Exhibit strong leadership qualities, gaining respect from the team through clear communication and excellence in work and people management. Work independently, with minimal supervision Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, alongside exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities. Demonstrate a solid understanding of people-related processes and procedures, coupled with a keen awareness of customer deliverables and the impact of quality failures. Utilize a collaborative approach to work, engaging interest and participation from others to drive continuous improvement and achieve desired outcomes. Demonstrate a developed understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work Minimum of 2 years in CNC Manufacturing Ability to interpret blueprints Basic understanding of GD&T and metrology Proven ability to multitask PI5e723285d73b-7409
