Job Summary: Direct, develop, and coordinate the Eye Care For Detroit (ECFD) "Make a Simple Decision: Give the Gift of Vision Fundraising Campaign." This includes responsibility for soliciting, securing, and developing mutually beneficial funding relationships and on-going pledges and gift-giving commitments. Responsibilities : Provide leadership, oversight, coordination, of weekly/monthly/quarterly operations of development and fundraising. Ensure that philanthropy and fund development are carried out efficiently and confidentially throughout the span of the campaign. Direct and oversee ECFD's key development priorities include a capital campaign, major gifts, corporate relations, planned giving, special events and annual fund. Cultivate, solicit, and provide stewardship for a portfolio of major gift prospects. Qualifications: Knowledge and familiarity with Detroit, Metro Detroit, and the region's top philanthropists, foundations, and giving circles. Established relationships with local, regional, and national supporters of vision care, eyecare, and eye health. Proven leadership skills, with significant experience interfacing with corporate boards and professional staffs. Demonstrated experience in cultivating and soliciting six and seven-figure gifts within a 6-month to 1-year timeframe. Experience in health-related and start-up social enterprises. Must have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to recruit and work with top-level corporate and community leaders.
