OVERVIEW: The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting inventory optimization efforts across all banners of business with a focus on New Stores, Relocations, Remodels, House of Sport, and redesign formats. This role's primary concentration will incorporate daily analysis of inventory processes as well as providing analytic support to key company initiatives. The candidate will provide support and analysis for but not limited to optimizing the store opening inventory process and driving inventory productivity, and improve operational efficiencies across all channels. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Support inventory strategies, analysis, and reporting efforts related to new store/concept development and relocations/remodels, the impact of retail environment shifts, and store and market specific as needed. •Work with Merchandising and Allocation teams to develop strategies to drive appropriate product breadth / depth into impacted locations •Provide support to PAR organization by developing inventory guidelines and strategies, and process oversight for new business developments •Develop partnership with and support Regional Merchandising, Field Leadership, New Store Operations, Experience Initiatives, Visual Merchandising, and additional store support teams •Develop and maintain standardized reports allowing appropriate information flow between Merchandising and Allocations teams with cross-functional partners Support analysis and contribute to strategies on company-wide initiatives designed to efficiently optimize inventory investments and operational efficiencies •Key Company initiatives include all aspects of House of Sport from pre-planning to post opening inventory management and executing prototype redesigns •Analyze and diagnose under and over-inventoried stores •Provide analysis on store and category level opportunities for inventory optimization •Analyze SKU segmentations and recommend consolidation targets based on performance levels •Evaluate clearance, aging, and other slow selling products by category and develop business rules to drive performance improvements •Provide ad hoc analytical support on cross functional projects as business needs dictate QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree 5-7 years experience in Retail, Merchandising, Merch Planning/Allocations, Real Estate Market Research
