The Senior Proposal Writer/Editor is tasked with crafting and refining custom proposals, requests for information (RFI), white papers, and other strategic documents for our organization, addressing both government and commercial RFPs, RFIs, and related inquiries. The ideal candidate will work closely with sales, marketing, and other departments to ensure that our proposals meet the specific needs, criteria, and expectations of both government and commercial clients. Job Duties/Responsibilities: The Senior Proposal Writer will create compelling, persuasive, and effective proposals that reflect the organization's core values and mission. They have a demonstrated history of crafting successful, convincing proposals for evaluation governmental and commercial entities, with a keen eye for detail and exceptional organizational skills. The Senior Proposal Writer/Editor offers editing and writing assistance for proposals and related documents, contributing to the creation of formats and guidelines that guarantee the final product upholds the organization's quality and branding. They independently write, review, and revise content for proposals and related documents, and develop and maintain a repository of templates and content. The Senior Proposal Writer/Editor works with subject matter experts to clarify substantive questions and ensures the material's meaning, language, and context are clear. They conduct interviews with experts and convert the information into precise, clear, and succinct text. The Senior Proposal Writer/Editor establishes and enhances document standards in line with customer and organizational standards and procedures. They assist proposal teams by providing standard language, sample text, and support with formatting and editing resumes and biographies, ensuring uniformity in voice, style, punctuation, spelling, and grammar. The Senior Proposal Writer/Editor has extensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures related to publication production, writing, and editorial processes, such as reviewing, editing, and providing feedback on proposal content authored by team members. This role requires exceptional oral and written communication skills, adeptness in project management and multitasking, and the ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage projects to achieve objectives. The individual is capable of handling multiple projects, meeting and managing deadlines, and ensuring the timely delivery of proposals. They also monitor and analyze customer feedback to make necessary adjustments. The Senior Proposal Writer/Editor is experienced in researching and crafting tailored, comprehensive proposals that address customer needs. They maintain a thorough understanding of the organization's products and services and work closely with sales and marketing teams to ensure content accuracy and consistency. Required Clearance Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain government clearance (#clearable) Required Qualifications: Education: A bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing Communications, Technical Communication, or a related field is required. Experience: 8-10 years of experience in creating effective, persuasive proposals in the telecommunications, information technology, and related industries is necessary. Desired Qualifications General: An articulate professional who can communicate clearly and positively with clients and staff and is capable of working both independently and within a team setting. They offer outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, with fluency in English. Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, and other relevant tools. Experience with proposal development processes, particularly the Shipley method, and an understanding of emerging generative-AI best practices are advantageous. APMP foundation certification or above is preferred. Our Senior Proposal Writer/Editor's earn between $108,000 - $130,000. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
