Position Summary The Grant Writer will write grant proposals, develop grant budgets, prepare and submit grant applications. In addition, this role is responsible for Identifying funding opportunities that align with CDLI's mission, researching deadlines, drafting grant requests and submitting reports to executive management for approval. Responsibilities: Assist in the review, assessment and roll-out of new and expanded existing grant-funded programs. Develop language and layouts for communications used in grant applications, outreach efforts, and marketing/fundraising materials. Collaborate with departments in the development of new programs/event scope, budgets, timelines, and expected outcomes. Track performance and meet established goals. Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations and grant program requirements to ensure compliance. Stay current with local, regional and national trends surrounding funding opportunities and needs. Maintain and update pertinent records, files, and response efforts. Respond to requests for information from management, program monitors, auditors, and other partners. Requirements: 3+ years' experience in project management, working in fundraising, budget development, grant writing, or grant compliance. Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and various technology applications. Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, capable of working well with others. Proactive, detail-oriented with strong analytical, time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills. Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and diverse team environment. Experience in marketing/promotional materials design. Ability to safeguard confidential and sensitive information.
