ATI is seeking to hire a Senior Procurement Manager (Raw Materials) to lead a team accountable to develop and execute sourcing strategies in support of our raw materials and scrap procurement. This position will support our Specialty Rolled Products business unit and be based in Natrona Heights, PA (greater Pittsburgh area). Essential Functions Lead the raw material procurement function for prime and scrap materials (raw materials), including contracting strategies, contract compliance, execution of the procurement function, inventory management, and metric-driven supplier performance management. Act as a subject matter expert for raw materials, keeping abreast of pertinent market intelligence impacting raw material supply markets. Coach and mentor the team to create a competitive advantage through the delivery of cost savings as well as development and execution of strategies supporting supply risk minimization and inventory optimization. Development and execution of a comprehensive scrap procurement and optimization strategy. Collaborate with and support the key SRP stakeholder groups including our melting operations, supply chain, quality, finance, commercial, and the ATI corporate level raw materials team. Lead scrap buyback / revert programs with downstream ATI customers. Drive cost savings through timely negotiation of spot scrap purchases and longer-term agreements on primary metals and ferroalloys. Utilize and coach others in the use of a strategic sourcing process in support of SRP's strategic business objectives. Support and drive compliance across raw material procurement processes. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement. Participate in Corporate Raw Materials Council as SRP representative and co-operate with other SBUs to lower overall procurement costs. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree 5 years of experience in a Supply Chain/Procurement leadership role Experience in procuring prime metals, ferroalloys, and scrap. Preferred Qualifications Procurement experience specifically related to nickel alloy and titanium scrap, ferroalloys and primary nickel and titanium raw materials. Operations experience in the making, shaping or processing of metals. Understanding of basic steelmaking processes; both airmelt and vacuum melt. Knowledge of products and suppliers of scraps, ferroalloys, primary metals and consumables used in melt shops. Understanding of metal market dynamics and metal valuations.
