The General Dynamics Land Systems 2025 Summer Internship Program provides an opportunity for students looking to start or continue the transition from academia into industry. Our three-month internship assignments provide compensation based on area of study and class standing, and have the students embedded in key functional areas of our business, getting real-world experience and mentorship from seasoned professionals. This is a Summer 2025 Intern position within Software Engineering supporting Software Engineering Managers. Responsibilities to Anticipate for this Role Attend collaboration meetings to discuss technical solutions. Perform tasks that cover all aspects of the software development life-cycle, including requirements definition, software design, coding, and unit test. Develop and maintain technical documentation. Provide project status. Qualifications Sought Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other related discipline from an accredited 4-year university or college, in an Engineering discipline. Attained at least a sophomore status based on university/college's class standing requirements at the start of the internship Experience program in C++ Preferred - GPA of 3.0 or higher Must be at least 18 years old This position may require the candidate to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance) Must successfully pass standard pre-employment screens and must provide an official college or university transcript from their school before their first day of employment. Must be able to complete a minimum of a full-time, 3-month assignment.
