Job Details Job Location PPC Pleasant Prairie - Pleasant Prairie, WI Position Type Full Time Description The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the operations, processes, and efficiency of the shipping and receiving department in the 24/7 plastics manufacturing environment. This role will be pivotal for overseeing and managing the company's warehousing operations to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. Essential responsibilities include managing carrier relationships and responses, Supervising and directing shipping and receiving personnel, planning and communicating objective to meet departmental goals, coordinating daily with customer service and office staff, ensuring proper training and department personnel and promoting and enforcing company business practices and safety policies. Key Functions: Work safely, following all safety policies and proactively enforcing and participating in the safe work of others. Be a leading example of adherence to all internal safety procedures and policies to keep a clean and organized manufacturing environment. Self-directed in daily warehouse safety activities to reduce safety concerns, near miss opportunities and other potential hazards in the warehouse operation. Coordinate daily shipping priorities with support from the customer service team. Accountable to maintain the storage and accuracy of raw materials and finished goods inventory locations and managing efficient inventory turnover using FIFO principles. Utilize internal ERP system (IQMS) to manage inventory quantities needed for LTL and or Full truck load shipments, ensuring system and physical inventory accuracy. Ensure receipt of all purchased orders, special orders, and outgoing project materials. Schedule deliveries and dock appointments with various freight carriers to ensure OTIF metrics are met. Conduct scheduled physical inventories of raw materials and finished goods to aid the finance team with inventory reporting accuracy, this includes quarterly and year end full physical inventories. Maintain current warehousing equipment fleet and work with third party vendors to facilitate repairs as needed. Direct management, coaching and supervision of direct reports in a 24/7 manufacturing and warehousing environment. Prepare and ensure accuracy of shipping documentation for national and international shipments. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including safety and environmental guidelines. Monitor and control logistical costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Establish and maintain relationships with brokers, carriers, and other third-party logistics providers to ensure consistent service, minimal delivery disruption and competitive pricing. Other duties as assigned to aid and support business needs. Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: 3+ years in Leadership, Supervisory or Management role preferred Bachelor's degree in business management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation and Distribution Management, Planning and Inventory Management, Facility Management or Business Administration preferred. Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and FSSC 22000 preferred. Knowledge of OSHA requirements and programs, health and safety laws and manufacturing plant environment safety guidelines preferred. Experience with G ood M anufacturing P ractices and coaching styled enforcement. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and lean manufacturing - Standardized Work, 5S, and TPM preferred. Experience working in a plastics manufacturing operation a plus. Qualifications Skills and Competencies: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to use ERP systems (IQMS) and basic computer programs (including Microsoft office) Strong verbal presentation and public speaking skills Ability to be self-motivated and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision. Leadership ability to manage relationships upward and downward the organization hierarchy. Able to positively interact with all levels of management and production personnel. Must be able to handle multiple priorities, of various criticality and prioritize as needed. Must be organized and able to maintain accurate and complete records. Excellent problem-solving skills. Bilingual; English / Spanish - preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift to 1 - 75 lbs. Ability to stand for extended periods Manual dexterity to handle small components and regular typing.
