Lexicon Pharmaceuticals is currently searching for a highly motivated, results focused Territory Business Manager (TBM) for our Baltimore, Maryland territory. In this role, you will be expected to deliver sales results to support the launch of our Type 1 Diabetes product, with secondary promotional responsibility for our Cardiovascular product. Executes brand strategy by engaging office-based customers to achieve sales goals while demonstrating our corporate values of Integrity, Innovation, Respect, Transparency and Ownership. This position will be based in Baltimore, MD. Job Summary: This position will act as an integral member of our Commercial Sales team and is responsible for delivering sales results. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Developing strategic customer relationships while executing our brand and sales strategy to effectively demonstrate our product value to key office-based customers to achieve sales results, such as: Endocrinologists, Cardiologists, Heart Failure Specialists, in limited cases Nephrologists, as well as P&T Committee members. Utilizes internal resources and leverages knowledge and expertise of local market trends, institutions, and key customers to optimize our national strategy to drive business results at the territory level. Works cross-collaboratively with Field Medical, Market Access, Marketing, and other partners. Accountability for all systems and reporting requirements, including call reporting Qualifications: Bachelor's degree is required. Minimum of 8+ years of Pharma sales experience A minimum of 3+ years Specialty Sales experience Recent Diabetes and Cardiovascular sales experience is preferred. Previous pharmaceutical product launch experience is strongly preferred. Proven track record of sales results, commitment to performance excellence. Ability to develop long-term strategic relationships with customers aimed at helping patients and achieving business results. Strong attention to detail regarding call planning and reporting Ability to work collaboratively across a matrixed organization. Benefits: As a Lexicon employee you receive a base salary, bonus and equity potential, auto allowance, full benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, paid holidays, and more. Annual salary between $135,000 - $150,000; contingent upon experience and qualifications.
