The successful applicant will have 3 years of experience with mortgage lending or origination and a proven track record of making matches between various lenders and borrowers. Compensation: BPS Responsibilities • Build referral relationships with real estate professionals and relationships with mortgage lenders/ mortgage bankers, maintain current lending rate sheets, and stay up to date on current mortgage industry trends • Obtain documentation to determine creditworthiness, such as background checks, applicant's credit history, income and employment verification, and verification of assets and liabilities • Find ideal mortgage product and lender for potential borrowers by researching competitive mortgage rates and interest rates and negotiating terms • Collaborate with the real estate agent, lender's underwriting department, other mortgage professionals, and closing agent to ensure a smooth transaction • Determine each applicant's or borrower's specific lending or refinance needs after conducting a thorough interview Qualifications • Superior time management, communication and analysis skills and independently resourceful • A current NMLS license or National Association of Mortgage Broker licensure or certification is required • Have a strong understanding of loan products and loan process from origination to close • Previous experience with MS office and loan origination software • A bachelor's degree is preferred in economics, business administration, banking, finance, or real estate law
