Software Engineer

iConsulting Group has immediate opportunity for a Software Engineer for an onsite opportunity in Fort Meade, MD. This is an exciting opportunity to perform deployment, installation, maintenance, quality control monitoring, and implementation of software at Government-specified locations. The ideal candidate will have a CWIP IAT Level 2 certification. An active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance is required. Responsibilities: Use object-oriented techniques, programming languages, and standard methodologies, including classic development, waterfall, and agile methods (Extreme programming). Maintain Customer Service Request processes to log and track customer service requests. Maintain/develop software products for use on various platforms. Use Configuration Management (CM) tools, such as Subversion/Trac or Git. Code in eXtensible Mark-up Language (XML)/W3C XML Schema to C++ Compiler (XSD). Apply middleware technologies, such as enterprise service bus (ESB), CORBA, or Internet Communications Engine (ICE). Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related STEM discipline Fifteen (15) years of experience in software application design and development, performing coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting throughout the application development process. Twelve (12) years of experience leading teams for software design and development for collection systems and components. Proficiency with Linux/UNIX is required, with development experience in C++, JAVA, XML/XSD, scripting languages (Python or Perl), JAVA GUI development, and Web framework experience (e.g., Ruby on Rails, Django, Spring Framework, or Zope). CWIP IAT Level 2 Certification is required.
