We are currently searching for a full time Transportation Manager for our warehouse in Chalfont , PA to work with us in our many projects in that area. Responsibilities: Provide oversight of all company assets to include vehicle fleet and other healthcare equipment. Ensure proper record keeping of all records related to company fleet. Lead competitive position analysis and develops and implements long-range asset acquisition and equipment staging plans. Partner with the Fleet Manager on all repairs made to company assets. Assess and maintains Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance through accurate record keeping and supervision. Safely drives tractor/trailers and/or RV mobile medical and dental practices to and from event locations. Schedule and manages Drivers by ensuring excellent performance and team support. Follow schedules in making sure that mobile practice(s) and portable assets arrive at destination on time. Work with site team to ensure that the mobile practice(s) is properly outfitted with all necessary equipment & supplies. Execute regularly scheduled preventative maintenance and any repairs necessary for the company fleet and other assets under direction of the Director of Logistics or Fleet Manager; report any problems to proper parties as soon as possible. Help site and event teams with miscellaneous tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service. Participate in daily logistics conference calls. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or GED Five (5) years of experience working in transportation in a role with responsibility for major assets Able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC) and obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) Able to clear a background check to enter government facilities including, but not limited to, military bases, correctional facilities, and schools Previous supervisory experience required Class A CDL license - must be obtained within 6 months of employment Ability to pass and maintain a medical exam for DOT Medical Card Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to solve problems by applying basic knowledge and performing independent research as applicable Demonstrates a positive attitude, self-motivation, organization, and resourcefulness while maintaining a reputation through proven action of being team oriented and willing to assist where and when needed Ability to prioritize duties under competing priorities Proven skills with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems Experience with driving RV's and having some experience with hydraulics are a plus Two (2) years of verified tractor trailer experience is required Accident-free driving record for the past three (3) years Ability to solve problems by applying advanced knowledge and performing independent research, as applicable. Must have excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate professionally and proficiently through face-to-face contact and electronic contact, including but not limited to telephone and email systems, with special attention to detail and accuracy Additional Information: The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
