JOB DESCRIPTION Be a part of an established leader within commercial Professional Liability insurance. This underwriting position supports the achievement of established goals related to profitable growth, customer service, and maintaining producer relationships of the Underwriting Service Branch (USB). The primary responsibility is to underwrite individual commercial risks within the new business team (NBS), focusing on Professional Liability/E&O and Cyber Liability insurance products. Scope: - Understand the fundamentals of insurance coverage, terms and conditions - Cultivating relationships with agents and brokers while using relationship to place business with Chubb - Marketing Chubb's competitive advantages in the marketplace and negotiating pricing and terms and conditions in a competitive marketplace that meet the customer's needs and positions Chubb to achieve a profit - Identify, analyze, and assess risk exposures, special or common hazards, and appropriate controls - Ability to base communications on strategic thinking and problem solving - Ability to use systems and software programs needed to conduct daily business - Ability to analyze claims and quantify losses Major Duties & Responsibilities: Duties may include but are not limited to: - Determines terms and conditions and utilizes complex rating plans - Binds coverage - Documents the underwriting files - Handles an assigned territory/book of business QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Requisite Chubb ABOUT US Chubb is a world leader in insurance.
