Description Bilingual (Spanish/English) Spada Law Group is a family-oriented personal injury firm actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced bilingual Personal Injury Paralegal with in-depth knowledge of the auto insurance industry to begin working in our Peabody, MA office! Our focus is and has been since 1998 on making it a fair fight for those who are often at a disadvantage in the legal process due to language barriers and/or cultural differences. As a Personal Injury Paralegal at Spada Law Group, you will assist our Litigation Attorney in all aspects of Litigation and client representation outlined but not limited to the responsibilities below. Responsibilities •Reading medical records/bills and creating an outline and summary of medical treatment •Cross referencing medical records and bills to make sure we are not missing anything •Following up with the client, and medical providers to make sure we have a complete set of records/bills • Providing preliminary answers to interrogatories - Then meeting with/speaking to the client to get more detailed answers, Taking part in meeting with client to finalize answers • Putting together documents for document responses - Calling client to confirm we have all requested documents, If documents are missing, figure out how to find them • Trial prep support - Photocopying, Redacting, Organizing exhibits, Putting together exhibit books • Trial support - Appear at trial to assist with exhibits and/or technology, Assist carrying documents into the court Qualifications •Bilingual fluency in both English and Spanish (oral and written) •Ability to work independently and as part of a team •1-2 years prior experience as a personal injury litigation paralegal, Case Manager, and/or an auto insurance adjuster •In-depth knowledge of an insurance claim from the time of the accident through settlement, the Mass Auto Policy, and medical coordination of benefits & liens •Understanding of local and state court rules and procedures •Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet presentation, and case management software •Effective organizational and communication skills, both written and oral, are needed •Legal research and legal document drafting experience is critical •High school diploma is required - 2-year degree and Paralegal certification are acceptable, but a Bachelor's degree is preferred
