Controller New York City, NY $85,000-$125,000 Our client, a home textile company, is seeking an experienced controller to oversee their business. The ideal candidate will have experience as an accountant in the manufacturing industry, preferably in a senior role. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, this person will streamline their budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes. Responsibilities: Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions Generate financial reports for senior leadership Monitor and analyze balance sheets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable Monitor taxes and provide details for audits Work with external tax firms to ensure accurate and timely processing of both domestic and international tax situations Assist in annual financial reviews and bank related audits Assist and train direct reports Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes Developing and monitoring business performance metrics Manage Finance & Accounting function Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of relevant experience in an Accounting/Finance role 2+ years of supervisory experience Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Strong technical, analytical, communication, and presentation skills Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player Strong organizational and management skills Ability to see the big picture while focusing on the process and procedures necessary to produce deliverables Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product Ability to meet and establish deadlines Experience with international trade
