Job Description Senior Accountant/Supervisor (Hybrid work environment) We are seeking to hire an experienced Senior Accountant/Supervisor to join our firm in our office located in Ithaca, NY. This is a unique opportunity to act as a full-time Accountant for our firm and apply your accounting experience to a variety of our clients. This position is client facing and requires interaction with all levels within our client's teams as well as internally within the firm. Location: Ithaca, NY. *For most of our positions at Insero, one can work in the office every day or if you like, in a hybrid structure/up to 3 days at home. *Current experience need would focus on small business-related clients. This role could be a full-time or part-time position with our firm. This would NOT be a 100% remote work option position. Responsibilities: (would vary based on the specific client engagements that may change during the year) •Accounting/bookkeeping assignments with various local small business clients in the Ithaca area. •Preparing or reviewing bank/account reconciliations and month close responsibilities as needed. •Ability to prepare a full accrual, month end close. •Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close and financial information reporting. •Analyzing general ledger processes, identify, and clean up any account errors. •Assisting clients with their financial statement reporting processes including cash flow and disclosures. •Reviewing outstanding receivables and analyzing allowance for doubtful accounts. •Coordinating accounting efforts with external auditors, tax preparers, and regular communications with owners and financial institutions. •Maintaining, establishing, or upgrading accounting ledgers or systems for small businesses. Requirements: Associate degree in accounting is required, (Bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred) along with a minimum of five plus years of accounting experience as a senior accountant (accrual basis accounting, not cash basis) and experience working in various industries (service, real estate, construction, manufacturing, distribution is preferred). Experience with QuickBooks is required. CPA or CMA is a plus, not required. Strong communication, relationship building, and consulting skills are necessary. The ideal candidate must be able to meet deadlines, be proactive and have solid multi-tasking skills. Salary Information: In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the base pay range for this position is $68,000 - $85,000 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position such as eligibility to receive discretionary spot bonus incentives. This range is a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and/or education and geographic location. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the capabilities and experience of the candidate. Incentives, if any, depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and firm performance.
