Summary/Objective: Support the Accounting team with various projects and tasks. Essential Functions: Assist with Accounts Payable transaction flow. Record billing transactions. Record other accounting transactions as directed. Assist with reconciliation of bank statements. Assist with the maintaining information in Expense Management platform. Assist with preparation of financial data for the variety of uses within the company. Internal auditing of transaction activity. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Must either be a recent graduate or in the process of completing a bachelor's degree in accounting. Competencies: Proficient with computers and different finance software programs. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills to build strong interpersonal relationships. Have strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work without distraction. Must have completed introductory accounting courses and have a basic understanding of financial principles. Must be a team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenge. Work Environment: Typical office hours. Hours may vary depending on demand. 80% sitting, 20% standing or walking. Physical Demands: Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work. No special physical demands are required to perform the work, but usually involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts, driving an automobile, etc. While this work typically is not physically demanding, it can be mentally demanding, with many deadlines needing to be met consistently. Travel Required: Minimal but may be required from time to time for errands, regional office meetings, construction job site visits, or company events. Additional Eligibility Requirements: None.
