Job Overview The Accounting Manager will be a very visible member of the Finance team and will interact directly with all employees across the Firm including executives and group heads. This role will report into our Assistant Controller and will be heavily involved in the allocation and recording of expenses of the company and its corporate subsidiaries as follows: Independently manages the Corporate Amex reporting and out of pocket reimbursement processes for company employees (done via Concur) Acts as third level of approval for employee expense reports to ensure that proper receipts are attached, client allocations are accurate, and reporting complies with company policy Will be expected to follow up with delinquent users (as applicable) Serves as a resource to company employees who have questions on expense allocation policy Acts as a Concur super user for the Firm and troubleshoots issues (as they arise) Provides detailed reporting on employee expense reports to CFO as needed Provides support to the Assistant Controller relating to the annual audits of our corporate subsidiaries. Performs monthly expense allocations to our clients in accordance with our contracts and governing documents. Maintains and reconciles certain balance sheet and general ledger accounts for our (4) entities including the preparation of quarterly workpapers. Researches and analyzes expense variances. Provides support relating to our budgeting process for certain vendors and expense line items as needed. Has ability to create ad hoc reports and analyze certain key expense related areas as needed. Demonstrates critical thinking and the ability to raise issues to the Assistant Controller as needed. Participates in projects and the overall department's strategic plan. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - Minimum of 7 years of experience working in a finance function - Proven ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines - Experience with SAP Concur (expense reporting) Preferred Qualifications - Advanced Excel Skills - Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Allvue) - Experience in financial services not required, but favorable - Strong accountability and organizational skills with ability to work on several projects simultaneously - Ability to work cooperatively within a team structure and with other internal departments - Comfortable being detailed with large data sets
