Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: High Acuity Unit Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: At least 1 year of ICU experience preferred License: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State Board of Nursing in Illinois or Michigan Certifications: Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Must-Have: - Willingness to float down to Med Surg- Understanding of a drug-free work environment- Electronic Medical Record and Microsoft application basic proficiency preferred Job Description: - Practice at the highest level of licensure to protect, promote, and restore health and wellness.- Collaborate with providers and multidisciplinary care team members to ensure comprehensive care Assess and support physical symptoms while providing psychological support to patients, friends, and families.- Mentor assigned team members, promote best practices, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.- Deliver quality nursing care by assessing, planning, organizing, and directing nursing functions.- Maintain confidentiality and uphold documentation standards with accurate, timely, and complete recording and reporting.- Act autonomously as a vital component of the care team and delegate responsibilities Create a compassionate, service-oriented environment by offering emotional, psychological, and spiritual support.- Provide a learning atmosphere by sharing knowledge with coworkers and orienting new staff.- Participate in process improvements to achieve clinical excellence and practice financial stewardship.- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies and protocols.- Enhance professional growth by participating in ongoing education and keeping informed of current standards.- Advocate for patients and their caregivers to ensure quality-driven and effective nursing care.
