Category Marketing The Territory Sales Manager II job is to identify and build new customer relationship to deliver year on year revenue and pipeline opportunity growth targets. This Business Development role will focus on the following service offering areas: East Coast and Northeast. Responsibilities * Generates new business from new customers through a high level of customer contact including frequent direct customer visits and extensive networking activities. * Effectively promotes current technical capabilities and emerging / new technologies as they become available to facilitate generation and closing of new business opportunities. Primary means of achieving through e-mail communications, phone conversations, customer tailored presentations and inn-person visits. * Networks and builds trust-based relationships throughout target accounts from technical personnel to the executive level. * Works with marketing, account managers and product development to develop strategies that ensure MyoSite's position as the leading solutions provider. * Establishes internal network with Commercial Development, SMEs. * Negotiates contracts with increasing autonomy. * Identifies market trends, assesses market potential, and develop strategies to grow market share using data from customer base / market and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders. * Provides timely, industry leading customer support and defines and interfaces with internal resources, when necessary * Understanding of the process from pre-clinical to clinical development * Ability to influence without authority and collaborate across all levels of an organization (internal and external). * High degree of business acumen to include standard competencies (financial, market positioning, healthcare industry, and customer), to enable sound decisions. * Achieve business objectives for assigned territory (for example, penetration of account with product/solution/service offerings). * Develop, build and cultivate long-term relationships with key management in the customer organization. * Assist management in devising sales plans and strategies, develop forecasts, budgets and operating plans for product sales channels. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Science discipline or the equivalent through relevant work experience for Chemical synthesis, Chemistry or Biochemistry 3-5 years' experience in sales/business development, product development role such as program management, CMC lead, lead technologist for drug development candidates. Proven success in initiating, promoting, and maintaining strong interpersonal relations * Must emonstrate a sense of urgency and being proactive to avoid material shortages. * Must be able to multitask * Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, and other general office equipment. * Basic understanding of cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, and related regulations associated with Bio/Pharmaceutical product manufacturing Physical Requirements: * Ability to conduct and hear ordinary conversation and telephone communication. * Must be able to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended work hours and/or extra work hours, sometimes on short notice as required. * Ability to work under specific time constraints. * Must be able to sit at desk, in meetings and/or work on a computer for long or extended periods of time. * Visual and manual acuity for working with computers and equipment. 50-75% Travel: Domestic Employee that interacts with Healthcare Professional: In addition to below, Compliance with Cook Policy & Guidance On Interaction with Healthcare Professionals.
