Security Software Engineer

**Hybrid | 3 days/wk onsite | Cupertino, CA** Our technology client, a global industry leader, is looking for a Security Software Engineer. Your expertise will enable us to build security products that address new and exciting challenges. We are looking for an engineer who can design and implement security applications, frameworks, and automation to accelerate vulnerability discovery, detection, management, and remediation. Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. W2 Responsibilities of the Security Software Engineer: Architect and develop scalable software solutions for vulnerability management and detection. Design and implement security applications, frameworks, and automation tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality security products. Continuously improve and automate processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Integrate, analyze, and present relevant metrics for large data sets. Ensure the security and integrity of customer data. Requirements of the Security Software Engineer: 5+ years of experience in developing large-scale enterprise software. Strong programming skills with the ability to create efficient algorithms and data structures. Expertise in Python (required), and proficiency in one or more of the following: Java, C, Rust, Scala. Proficiency in SQL (required), with knowledge of NoSQL and SparkSQL being a plus. Good working knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, including filesystems and system calls. Proficiency with version control systems and repositories such as Git, and familiarity with CI/CD processes. Basic working knowledge of socket programming (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, etc.). Experience with cloud and container-based deployments using AWS, Kubernetes, etc., is a plus. Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
