Find more information and resources here: Position Description & Details The Video Production Assistant II at Bismarck State College is responsible for assisting in the setup, live-streaming, and recording of college events. The role requires hands-on involvement in various aspects of video production, including operating equipment, troubleshooting, and working closely with the BSC production team to ensure high-quality video content. This position will play a vital role in capturing and delivering events both on and off campus, requiring flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed. (Monday - Sunday, part-time, temporary, approximately 5-19 hours/week) Key Responsibilities: Video Production Support: Assist with all aspects of video production, including pulling cable, running camera, and striking equipment. Collaborate closely with the BSC production team for guidance. Live Event Directing: Direct and live-switch events as they happen, ensuring smooth and professional production. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to live streaming and production equipment during live events. Operations Oversight: Oversee operations during live productions, ensuring that all technical aspects run efficiently. Production Assistance: Provide support for a variety of productions both on and off campus, including work during nights, evenings, and weekends. Graphic Creation: Assist in creating graphics to be used within video productions, contributing to the visual quality of the content. Video Editing: Work on intermediate-level video edits, ensuring that final products meet quality standards. Innovation and Creativity: Contribute to the department's success by bringing innovative ideas to enhance processes, functions, and overall quality. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as required or assigned to support the department's objectives. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Continuously - 66-100% - Use hands dexterously, talk or hear. Frequently - 34-65% - Stand, walk, or sit. Occasionally - 1-33% - Reach with hands and arms, stoop/kneel/crouch, crawl, climb or balance, or lift to 25 pounds. Minimum Requirements Experience in video or audio production. (1-2 years in live video production.) Willingness to learn new skills. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects. Ability to work independently and handle interruptions. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (essential function). Preferred Qualifications Experience in a college environment.
