Description As a leading firm focused on internal audit, accounting and corporate finance, our goal at DLA, LLC is to continuously develop our employees and to embrace a culture that combines fun with hard work and dedication! We are expanding our Internal Audit practice to the Boston Metro area and actively recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor with SOX experience in consumer and/or financial services industries. DLA has always had a very flexible work model where time will be split between Boston based client sites and work-from-home. Duties & Responsibilities: Develop documentation of existing internal controls and internal processes Review and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls in a variety of business areas Suggest solutions to strengthen controls, improve profitability and aid management decision-making capability Assist in the development of oral and written presentations to management during and at the conclusion of the examination, discussing deficiencies and recommending corrective actions to improve operations Knowledge & Skills: BS or BA in Accounting or Finance 3+ years of experience with SOX and/or internal controls Professional services or consulting experience within the consumer, life sciences and/or financial services industries Strong process and analytical skills Knowledge of GAAP and general business and operational principles a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong computer proficiency Independent, proactive, self-motivated Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and written and oral communication skills Must be able to multi-task Ability to analyze and resolve issues and make recommendation Willing and able to travel to client sites as needed to fulfill job responsibilities Why DLA: Unlimited PTO and your birthday is a holiday 401(k) retirement plan with a company match Commuting expenses reimbursed Continuing education courses and training Employee referral and commissions programs Robust healthcare plans Our clients come from all walks of life and so do we.
