Position: Electrical Engineer Location: Danville, VA (Onsite) Company Overview: Our client, a prominent global manufacturing company, is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team in Danville, VA. This role is critical in ensuring that plant equipment, buildings, and facilities meet all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while supporting production efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Primary Purpose: Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards for equipment. Monitor engineering expenses and adherence to capital budgeting. Oversee the design, installation, modification, and maintenance of plant equipment, buildings, and facilities. Support production efforts to ensure high-quality products are produced at the lowest cost. Key Responsibilities: Continuous Improvement: Utilize improvement tools to analyze product issues, propose solutions, and drive cost-saving initiatives. Team Training: Train and support production floor team members. Performance Analysis: Identify performance issues using data analysis and technical expertise, focusing on waste reduction. Project Support: Assist with cost estimates, project justification, budgeting, design reviews, and oversee installations. Research and Development: Explore new equipment, systems, and processes to enhance plant operations. Compliance: Address Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) issues to ensure compliance and improve interdepartmental communication. Contractor Management: Manage and audit contractor work to ensure adherence to safety practices. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working with multi-disciplinary engineering and maintenance teams. Preferred experience in equipment design, project engineering, or project management. Skills: Proficiency in computer-based technology, programming languages, and troubleshooting machine problems. Understanding of modern safety control systems and electrical diagrams. Ability to design electrical control systems and create/interpret CAD drawings and schematics. Compensation: Salary: $67,000 to $125,000, with full relocation assistance and negotiable sign-on bonus.
