About the Team At Nutanix, you will be leading the Commercial Sales team, a group of 8 highly collaborative individuals spread across the Great Lakes territory. The team is known for its strong teamwork, support for one another, and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional results. You can expect to work closely with the Systems Engineer Manager to drive success within the territory. You will report to the VP of Commercial Sales, a seasoned leader with a wealth of experience in the industry. As a part of the team, you will have the flexibility of working remotely within the Great Lakes territory, with no mandatory office days. In this role, you can anticipate traveling up to 50% of the time to meet with customers, attend conferences, and engage with partners. Your Role Own regional sales number, revenue targets, and sales projections Works closely with new as well as established channel partners to generate new business opportunities Partner with marketing team to ensure effective marketing strategy and channel team on channel strategy Ensure timely and accurate revenue, customer and management reports using in-house systems, evangelizing the use of SFDC for forecasting requirements and prospect tracking Lead, mentor and develop all account managers on the team as well as partner closely with our System Engineering team Work closely with Systems Engineers, Inside Reps, Field Marketing, Professional Services, and Channel Management to ensure target quotas as achieved and exceeded Travel up to 50% What You Will Bring 5+ years of high-level management experience of 5 or more direct reports in a fast paced, high-reaching, ever-changing software or technology sales environment Proven experience in recruiting, hiring, and building out high performance sales teams Minimum of 7 years in quota carrying sales role with demonstrated achievement Confirmed ability to work effectively with and across all levels of business and IT contacts within very large and complex organizations Extensive experience negotiating large 7 figure deals with extremely complex terms, conditions, price pressures and considerations Self-starter who takes initiative, works with limited direction, and has experience with companies pursuing and undergoing rapid growth Extensive understanding of data infrastructure, virtualization, networking, or relevant technologies BA/BS degree in relevant major required, MBA preferred The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 307,920 and USD $ 461,880 per year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
