TTI, Inc. is looking for a Connector Business Development Manager in the Detroit, Michigan area. The Connector/EMech Business Development Manager is responsible for leading the selling of company Connector/EMech products and services to the Central Region customers.Responsibilities include three primary objectives: creating sales opportunities, defending sales, and penetrating sales, for existing and potential customers. ACCOUNTABILITIES Assist in the sale of Connector/EMech products by working with the branches to develop sales strategies, generate customer leads and call on regional customers in assigned territory to establish influential relationships and win orders and achieve sales objectives. Acts as a resource andsales support for all Field Sales, General Managers and Regional customers. Facilitates training programs in the region to educate personnel on specific details concerning targeted customers and/or on products for the Segment market. Encourages follow through on key opportunities with appropriate personnel for key regional customers. Attends selected quarterly business reviews (QBR) with the suppliers as well as regular meetings with internal management to understand the business outlook and opportunities. Communicates with branch locations to inform the sales staff of design wins at the key OEM customers that will most likely be procured through the Contract Manufacturers. Maintains market awareness on competitor activities, industry trends and new concepts related to products supported. Performs other related duties as assigned. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Industrial Distribution with 10 years' experience in Connector/EMech products preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. SKILLS, & CERTIFICATIONS Knowledge and understanding of sales, purchasing, operations, systems, vendors, product and branch operations. Exhibits strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and project management skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, articles and presentations. Presents complex topics effectively to branch sales, senior management and customers. Ability to read, analyze and interpret business journals, technical procedures and government regulations. Ability to travel up to 75% required. Ability to type 40 words per minute preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level preferred. Must possess a valid state driver's license, safe driving record and be insurable by the Companies' liability carrier.
