As the Cybersecurity Director you will support the Senior Director, Cybersecurity in managing the day-to-day operations of The Trade Desk's Cybersecurity Program and Initiatives, focusing on operational excellence, driving maturity improvements through a risk-based approach, and effectively communicating the current risk picture, threat landscape and state of maturity to both internal and external stakeholders. What you'll do: Reporting to the Senior Director, Cybersecurity and working alongside Security Engineering, Security Operations, and Compliance leaders, this senior-level individual contributor will assist with the strategic planning, guidance, definition, and design of enterprise-wide security initiatives. More specifically, you will: Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive vision and strategy for enterprise-wide security initiatives to support the organization effectively and securely in meeting specific business technology needs. Assist Cybersecurity leadership with providing technical direction for implementing The Trade Desk's Cybersecurity strategy through the successful implementation of security best-practices, processes and operations. Provide technical leadership and management of security projects from conception through deployment and handover. Assist with the coordination of design reviews to evaluate security controls and identify opportunities to enhance The Trade Desk's security posture and alignment with the overall business strategy. Contribute to the selection and evaluation of cybersecurity tools and data sources to ensure full adoption, availability, efficacy, and peak operational performance. Develop and implement security standards, procedures, and guidelines that ensure the security, reliability, and availability of the organization's systems and solutions. Assist with the maintenance and enforcement of The Trade Desk's Cybersecurity policies, standards, baselines, and secure design documentation. Regularly assess the effectiveness of security measures and identify areas for improvement through regular security audits and assessments. Support the optimization of various security operations to include threat detection, threat intelligence, threat hunting, incident handling, and reporting. Collaborate with other corporate functions, including Enterprise Risk Management, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Privacy to ensure that The Trade Desk maintains and demonstrates a strong Cybersecurity posture. Communicate efficiently across all levels of management to articulate vision and direction. Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of security personnel across multiple security disciplines. Act as a mentor to all members of the Cybersecurity team, as required. Who you are: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance or related discipline plus minimum 15+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security or Information Assurance, with at least 10+ years in security engineering or operations. 6+ years in a security leadership role. Ideal candidate will be considered a technical expert and a proven technical leader within Cybersecurity. Management and/or leadership focused security certifications are a plus. (e.g., CISSP, CISM, C|CISO, etc.) Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate within the context of the intended audience, whether that be senior executives or highly technical engineering resources. A deep understanding of technical security issues, the implications to The Trade Desk and the ability to communicate them to management and other business leaders to include emerging security technologies and the ability to determine their appropriate use within business applications. Hands on technical experience with compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, etc.) and how they affect architecture designs and reviews. Proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and managing security systems and solutions for large-scale and complex organizations.
