We are seeking a well-tenured Business Development Manager to join one of our most trusted clients in Atlanta. Our client is a leading Quartz and Solid Surfaces Manufacturer and Global Supplier of Premium Kitchen & Bath Countertop Materials. This is a field-based sales and support position primarily responsible for sales activities from lead generation to product and color specification, along with, servicing high-end retail showrooms in the metro Atlanta area. The starting base salary is $70-80k plus commissions. This is a full-time, permanent position with full benefits and other perks. In order to properly execute this role, the BDM is expected to regularly and customarily work up to 80% of their working time in the field. Responsibilities: Establish and maintain good working relationships with an assigned territory of Interior Designers, other design professionals, and some high-end Kitchen and Bath or Flooring showrooms - the DSR's customer base. Actively seek-out design professionals and retail showrooms to add to customer base. Conduct regular calls at a frequency established by the DSR/BDM based upon numerous factors including specification potential, wholesale, and retail sales potential. Consult with design professionals to prepare proper job specifications that not only serve the architect and his client, the owner, but also ensure that the organization will secure the job through the contractor in order to increase sales of our surfacing products. Prepare and/or present educational seminars including, but not limited to, ASID-approved CEU courses. Act as an information and education resource for customer base - either know the answer or find it. Provide feedback to Sales Director and Product Management on current products and on gaps in the current product portfolio. Be a product expert - able to provide your customer base with practical surfacing /system recommendations. Manage an expense budget, including the discretionary use of no-charge samples and local marketing budgets. Manage the lead generation process from origination of a lead, including dissemination of the leads to the appropriate Sales Director, and/or Business Development Manager for execution. Bachelor's degree plus one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
