Job description Sales and Marketing Administrator Education: Community College graduate or a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. Study concentration areas: accounting, business, marketing, information technology, or statistics, if possible two or more of these. Experience: up to three years' experience in sales or in sales support (could be reduced or waived if warranted) Job description summary: to administer and support sales and marketing. Job responsibility: methodical tracking and record keeping of sales calls, sales prospects, regulations and laws, and concluded business. Reports to: Sales and Marketing Director Tasks: -establishes and maintains a confidential "war room" map of business prospects compiled with help of the companies sales persons in the 50 States and Canada, updated daily as events take place. -maintains an ongoing file on our competition from field information, client opinions -establishes electronic recording and filing system of all prospect visits and market information on a standard form. Each time a salesperson visits / contacts a prospect results/ remarks recorded in file -maintains permanent record in file of all visit reports, with names and titles of persons contacted and dates, which is reviewed for needed follow-up at twice monthly Sales and Marketing meeting -establishes and updates permanent record of all state and local laws affecting the company -serves as secretary of the twice monthly Sales and Marketing meeting -works with estimator to record project details, expected margins, special issues -receives expense accounts from salespersons, checks and sends to Head of Sales & Marketing for approval -maintains permanent record of advertising and marketing budget, efforts, and results -plans and executes attendance at conventions as directed by Head of Sales and CEO -when company wins a project, ensures that all necessary information from estimator is handed over to the responsible person who sets tasks, time lines and responsibilities and orders equipment, supervises testing, installation Skills and personal qualities: understanding of the business, computer skills, passion for completeness and accuracy, discreet and trustworthy, responsible team player that others like to work with.
