Additional Information About the Role The Oasis Institute is a national non-profit organization headquartered in St. Louis with a mission to enrich the lives of older adults through the arts, history, technology, current events, health, exercise, volunteer engagement, and more. For over 40 years, Oasis classes and activities have played a vital role in enhancing the lives of older adults. With seven locations across the country, we offer programs in more than 200 communities through a national network of over 800 partners in 47 states. The national office, St. Louis Oasis, additionally serves select administrative needs of Oasis Centers across the country. Oasis seeks a Marketing Manager to report to and support the National Director of Marketing acting as a bridge between the director's strategic vision and the implementation of marketing efforts. The Marketing Manager will develop, execute, and measure strategic marketing and communications plans to support Oasis' mission and program enrollment goals, boost our brand presence, and attract new participants to increase class participation. The position requires strong analytical skills that lead to data-driven decisions, professional experience in planning sales and advertising campaigns, experience using CMS such as WordPress, and email marketing campaigns using MailChimp. Overview Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. The OASIS Institute is a national not-for-profit organization that provides programs in 27 U.S. cities to enrich the lives of adults, age 50-plus through lifelong learning, health and wellness, ;and civic engagement opportunities. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for increasing national and local awareness, participation and support for OASIS. The position reports to the Director of Communications and Technology. Responsibilities Lead staff in development of strategies and messaging for marketing communications to increase program participation and donor support. Conduct research with target audiences to evaluate messaging and marketing tactics. Publish brand marketing guidelines. Supervise vendors and staff in production of communications such as print materials, direct mail, presentations, advertising, online and email campaigns. Provide graphic design services for national and local OASIS programs. Develop ideas for feature articles, interviews and other publicity opportunities. Manage media relations efforts to publicize OASIS. Develop and manage content marketing strategy. Cultivate and coach staff and volunteers to contribute quality content that aligns with the strategy. Manage updates to online communications including website, blogs and social media platforms. Ensure that new information is posted regularly. Monitor social media engagement, replying/commenting as applicable Develop and execute project plans; manage team project activities.
