Job Overview & Responsibilities: The Senior Sales Order Administrator role is responsible for handling order processing tasks and assignments in support of sales order management for our business. Working with our sales team, you will be responsible for issuing purchase orders, as well as generating invoicing, entering data into our accounting system, and handling other documentation associated with new contract awards. This role supports a high volume of order processing and when not engaged in those priority tasks, you will be assigned other general administrative work, reporting, and project work pertaining to order administration. This position works under general supervision and tasks are semi-routine in nature. May handle more complex assignments within order administration and may assist in training less experienced staff. Responsibilities and Essential Duties: Duties and Responsibilities: Issue purchase orders to vendors in accordance with vendor ordering documents within short turnaround time, in support of the sales process. Verify documentation for new contract awards and setting up projects for tracking. Prepare invoicing, journal entries, and any other documentation needed to process the life of a contract. Invoice customers in accordance with customer purchase orders. Record job related fees. Balance job profitability. Provide input regarding procedure and process improvements in order to provide greater efficiency. May assist training less experienced staff in order administration and serve as a team buddy for new hires. Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential. Attend team meetings and other meetings as required. Other Duties Perform all other duties, as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent experience. 5 - 6 years experience in sales order processing or general administrative role. Work experience utilizing order management, financial software systems such as NetSuite, MS Excel or other data management tools.
