Our client in the finance industry is seeking an Accounting 1 to join their team. As an Accounting 1, you will be part of the Finance department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting systems which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Accounting 1 Location: Stanford Center for Professional Development Pay Range: Based on experience What's the Job? Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and documents for accuracy and compliance. Contribute to analysis development for key activities and decision-making. Identify and resolve accounting issues by analyzing underlying concerns and recognizing exceptions. Maintain, reconcile, and validate financial data from multiple sources and prepare basic management reports. Correct journal entries, resolve data anomalies, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. What's Needed? Associate degree with two years of applicable experience, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and basic accounting systems. Knowledge of accounting concepts and effective communication skills. Ability to learn project management skills and work as part of a project team. Physical Requirements: Primarily desk-based tasks with frequent sitting, light filing, and fine manipulation.
