Communications Manager Location: Chicago, IL Full/Part-Time: Full-Time FLSA Status: Exempt Equal Employment Opportunity Employer Position Summary: The objective of this position is to implement the firm's marketing and communication strategy, along with managing brand guidelines, maintain and update the firm's website, assists with client communications, and complete editing and research assignments for leadership. The Marketing and Communications Manager will provide counsel and support to all departments to ensure the quality and effectiveness of their communication as well as produce general design and content support. Projects cover the full range of communication deliverables, including corporate identity development, corporate communications, media communications, as well as print and web-based designs and social media management. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Internal Communications Contribute to strategy development and implementation of communications plans and content to support our company strategy and cultural priorities. Develop a deep understanding of our businesses and employee base, and the ability to target specific segments with messages that spark them to action. Prepare and maintain the internal communications editorial calendar. Apply an advanced understanding of relevant content topics and user objectives to select appropriate communications approaches and delivery methods. Review and evaluate communications deliverables for quality and consistency with brand standards and identify opportunities for improvement. Manage and publish relevant content such as engagement communications including written content, tool kits, graphics, and video. Assist in creating branding around internal initiatives. External Communications Write and edit story pitches, press releases, bylines and thought leadership pieces, blog posts, website, internal and social media copy, and other public-facing content. Identify media and speaking opportunities to publicize Firm capabilities Create innovative campaigns to promote the products offered to Loop's clientele. Support external events through branding, promotion, content creation, and speaker remarks. Produce marketing communications materials, presentations, and publications. Track and measure the effectiveness of messaging to inform future efforts and monitor progress. Company Website Consult with senior management and users to analyze and determine needs, gather requirements, research, test, and implement intranet and internet solutions. Maintain the website ensuring it is consistent with the company's brand and design standards. Serve as the manager and front-end designer of the and websites. Collaborate with the IT department for technical resources, development and UX. Maintains current representation of the firm externally, including updating information on the company's leadership, achievements, latest news, deals and upcoming events. Work with vendors to create and manage designs advertisements; within specification, dimensions, files, and format (e.g., jpg, eps, png, etc.). Copyedit and proofread all web content, and other various tasks as required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related discipline Three years relevant work experience in the financial services industry. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Adobe Create Cloud, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Previous work experience in taking marketing campaign plans through to execution and delivery. Exceptional understanding of brand development and management, including across all digital platforms. Proficient in PC environments and familiar with iOS and Android platforms. Self-starter who can manage projects independently with a good sense of prioritization and grace under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Previous work experience creating, proofreading, and editing content for multiple marketing communication materials and websites. Maintain high standards in every aspect of your work and continually raise the bar. Intellectually curious, embracing challenges and tackling problems with a solutions mindset. Ability to work within the regulatory implications of financial services industry (or, other highly regulated industry). Strong understanding of social media and web site best practices, web browser limitations and search engine optimization. Communication.
