The successful candidate will be part of the Asset & Wealth Management Public Product Control. The function involves performing valuation oversight for securities, providing valuation oversight of our independent third party fund administrators, and assisting with management and fund board reporting. The candidate will interact with various groups within the firm including Controllers Management, Portfolio Management and Trading, Risk, Operations, Legal and Compliance. Principal Responsibilities: Responsible for price verification of fixed income positions held in the portfolios - including, but not limited to corporate debt (public and private) and securitized positions (mortgage backed securities, CLO etc.) Preparation of management reports and key valuation metrics for business, controllers management as well as fund boards Review Valuation Adjustments to ensure complete and accurate reporting Assist in the development of a valuation and price verification framework for fixed income securities; in conjunction with key federation stakeholders (IT, Operations, Legal, Compliance, etc.) and the Portfolio Management/Trading teams Oversee ASC 820 stamping workflow for fixed income positions Basic Qualifications: Accounting, Economics or Finance degree preferred, but not required CPA, or CFA preferred, but not required 3 - 5 years experience in the financial markets and the investment management industry is preferred Requires a willingness and drive to understand valuation methods for the types of securities mentioned above Strong interpersonal (verbal and written communication) skills Ability to work in a team environment Strong analytical and organizational skills Ability to take initiative and work efficiently Proficiency in Microsoft Desktop Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Salary Range The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $85000-$140000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
