Our Americas operation located in Shelton, CT, is immediately seeking a successful Business Development Manager to strengthen our market position in North America. Job Description This position is created to develop and win new business opportunities in the public transportation marketplace while developing and managing Key Accounts. Position requires the strategic identification and development of new market opportunities for HMI products and assemblies, with a strong focus on the management of key OEM relationships with a focus on EAO vision, mission, and corporate values. Essential Duties Business Development Management - collaborate with, Directors of Sales, International Business Development (BD) colleagues, and international colleagues to define key account targets, manage projects, and execute strategies while participating within the Center of Competence - CoC. Management of defined A-Accounts within Focus Segments and BD targets working closely across the global organization to manage complex projects and execute BD strategies in North America. Focus on penetrating major public transportation suppliers and sub-suppliers primarily within the rail marketplace. A working knowledge of these suppliers and running projects in needed. Develop and manage Business Development within Focus Segment accounts. Interpret customer applications and guide customers toward selection of proper EAO standard components or valued added systems supporting Buy America activity. Develop detailed, thorough, and convincing project proposals. Research and understand EAO's competitors, including competitive strengths and weaknesses. Willing and able to travel to key accounts and BD targets to develop trusted business relationships on a regular basis (e.g. >50%) including occasional international travel outside of North America. Enhance existing customer relationships by presenting new, more efficient, or more attractive solutions and products. Job Requirements This position requires strong sales and people management skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate proven management experience, OEM sales achievements, and knowledge of the Public Transportation marketplace and key OEM suppliers. He/she must be very self-motivated and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, problem-solving aptitude, and the ability to function in a fast-paced team environment. BSEE/ME, and knowledge of MS 365, SharePoint, , or Oracle preferred. +5 year working in the Public Transportation market - OEMs and Transit Authorities. This position is based out of our Shelton, CT office. Regular travel is required (>50%).
