Berkeley College, a career-focused institution of higher education, is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Benefits Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and administration of the College's comprehensive benefits program, wellness program and 401(k) retirement plan. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Provide support in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of organizations' benefits including health, welfare, retirement, incentives, and other benefits. Manage Wellness program and premium differential. Manage 401(k) retirement plan, including annual testing. Files Form 5500 for benefits and 401(k) retirement plan. Implement new benefit programs and arrange and conduct employee information presentations and enrollments. Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives and conduct renewal of benefit plans annually including working with the broker. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements, communicate effectively with management and enforcing adherence to guidelines. Completes benefit-related reports as needed, i.e. census data. Work with employee relations issues and resolution of employment conflicts. Continuously evaluate current policies & procedures, and provide recommendations for improvement with compliance updates and procedural enhancements. Assist in the preparation of the Human Resources budget. Job Location On-site 4 days/Remote 1 day.Position located in Woodland Park, NJ with ability to travel across NY/NJ locations on an as needed basis.
