Job Summary: Office Assistants duties include but are not limited to: Issue supplies utilizing various methodologies including OmniCell Supply System restock orders, par level filing, call-down requests, filling of faxed or hand delivered requisitions sheets. Critical station and kit supply assembly, verification, and delivery. Will provide customer service response to telephone requests for product information and product requests. Will complete documentation for return, stock-outs, and expired products as necessary. Assists in maintenance of stock room; Unpacks supplies and stock shelves; keeps distribution area clean and free of boxes. Must demonstrate ability to lift and move heavy boxes and carts using proper body mechanics and manual dexterity; follow written instructions from cards and manuals; effective communication skills; ability to move swiftly in emergencies; use of all five senses (with adequate correction). Must be able to lift 35 pounds to shoulder height. Must be able to sustain long periods of standing & walking. Minimum Qualifications: The NYS Department of Civil Service has developed the NY HELPS program. During this program, theNYS Civil Service Exam requirements are suspendedfor the Office Assistant 1, SG006 title. For consideration for this title, you must meetthe following minimum qualifications: There are no education or experience requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Work Days: Schedule based on a 40 hour work week.
