Truck Enterprises, Inc., a multi-location medium and heavy-duty Kenworth and Isuzu dealership group, is looking for Janitor to join their Hagerstown, Maryland team. Job Summary: The primary function of the Building Maintenance/Janitor is the general maintenance and cleaning of Building and outside lot. Duties and Responsibilities: Clean all exposed filing cabinets, bookcases, shelves Clean and sanitize telephones Clean and sanitize desk tops Clean reception lobby Empty all waste receptacles & replace liners as needed including shop. Vacuum all carpeted areas Clean, sanitize, polish all vitreous fixtures Clean all glass and mirrors Refill all dispensers to normal limits Sweep, damp mop, and sanitize hard floor Clean and sanitize all sinks and sink fixtures Remove dust and cobwebs from ceiling areas and window seals Keep both kitchens clean including microwaves and coffee pots Once a month clean exterior and interior windows Pressure wash building as needed Building maintenance as needed (light bulbs, paint touch ups, etc.) Keep parking area and landscaping free of debris Buffing and Waxing all floors minimum twice per year. When not cleaning, maintenance person will run errands for the Service and Sales Departments. Qualifications: Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information. High school diploma or the equivalent. Clearly legible handwriting. Experience in Janitorial and general maintenance work. Working Conditions: Non-exempt: "This position is considered a non-exempt position for purposes of federal wage-hour law, which means that you will be paid overtime pay for all hours actually worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek." You must obtain authorization from your supervisor prior to working any overtime. This position is physically demanding. Employee will climb stairs, climb in and out of vehicles, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees and customers. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted on a regular basis as well as heavier loads with forklifts and /or additional assistance will be required. Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non hazardous materials. Veterans encouraged to apply.
