Technology Consulting, Financial Services, Senior Manager - Non-Financial Risk: Primary location for this role is in NY. The opportunity The Non-Financial Risk (NFR) technology team assists global financial institutions by driving efficiency, effectiveness, and balanced risk coverage across the organization's governance, risk, and compliance activities. We work with global financial services clients in transforming their Risk & Compliance ecosystem focusing on program enhancement and technology infrastructure modernization. Over the years, the team has built strong credentials in vendor solution assessments, system implementations, front office controls assessment and remediations, operating model design, regulatory remediations and regulatory reporting. As a member of the EY team, you will have the opportunity to work with global capital markets, wealth management, asset management and insurance clients, learn on the job, and build insight into the market landscape. Your key responsibilities As a technology consulting Senior Manager, you are expected to lead large scale engagements and consistently deliver high quality client services based on your extensive knowledge of traded products and experience in Risk and Compliance technology transformation projects, and your ability to lead practitioners throughout the creation and successful delivery of work products. You will lead the team along with our program leads and key SMAs to deliver technology solutions to the clients. You will lead internal initiatives, with a team of people with diverse skills and backgrounds, fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment and provide constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. One of your key roles will be to generate new business opportunities, understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients. Skills and attributes for success Strong knowledge of financial instruments and asset classes (Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equities, FX, Alternatives, etc) Hands-on experience with delivering technology solutions in Capital Markets industry across any of the following processes - Front Office Control Automation, Surveillance (Trade and electronic-communications), Trade and Transaction Reporting and Trade life-cycle Ability to communicate and interpret technical concepts to both technical and non-technical Risk and Compliance client stakeholders Understanding of Risk and Compliance technology environment integration points and key upstream data systems (OMS, trade capture, pricing, reference data, market data, etc) Familiarity with key financial market regulations such as CAT, CFTC SDR, MiFiD II, EMIR 15c3-3, 15c3-5, RegSHO, Dodd-Frank, etc. Strong knowledge of financial industry utilities (Exchanges, Clearing Organizations, Repositories, Bloomberg, etc) Background in Business systems analysis, requirements documentation, technical specification development and testing Experience across various SDLC components supporting implementation of vendor packages Experience helping clients with IT architecture and infrastructure design, sourcing approaches, IT process and cost optimization, and emerging technologies Exceptional core consulting skills Ability to develop client proposals, project approach, work plans, resource estimates and cost estimates on client opportunities and pursuits Experience developing Offerings, Solutions, and Designs for product implementations Experience managing and motivating teams with diverse skills and backgrounds Cultivated business development opportunities A passion to contribute to the growth of the practice Willingness to travel a minimum of 50%. To qualify for the role, you must have Must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, Engineering or a related field and 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the Financial Services industry Alternatively, can have a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, Engineering or a related field and 8 years of work experience in the Financial Services industry. Must have at least 10 years of experience at a financial institution, a consulting firm, or a combination of both, all of which must be focused on at least one or a combination of Capital markets, Wealth and Asset Management, Risk management, Quantitative analytics, and front office sales and trading Must have at least 10 years of experience in at least one or a combination of the following from front office or risk management related functions - risk governance, risk appetite, risk identification, risk monitoring, risk measurements (i.e., limits, Greeks) and risk reporting Must have at least 8 years of experience leading a team of professionals on financial services implementation projects within at least one of the following key US and global regulatory issues: Basel III market, counterparty credit, CVA risk, FRTB, CAT Must have at least 4 years of experience communicating with and presenting before C-suite stakeholders Must have at least 3 years of experience in business development directly responsible for the sales and growth of the business Ideally, you'll also have Leadership as well as proven project management skills Experience with SDLC, Agile Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban methodologies Excellent communication skills, team player What We Offer We offer a competitive compensation package where you will be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. What we offer We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $150,000 to $342,600. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $180,000 to $389,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
