The Opportunity Delaware North Gaming is searching for an Assistant Cage Manager to join our team at Hamburg Gaming in Hamburg, New York. In this role, you will oversee all areas of the cage and vault to ensure that all state, federal, and Delaware North guidelines and procedures are being followed. Pay Minimum - Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $58458 - $66800 / year In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Schedule all shifts for the cage under the supervision of the Cage Manager. Lead and manage a team of associates, providing planning and scheduling of work assignments, and performance development. Handle flow and tracking of all cash through the cage. Participate in the interviewing, selection and training of new team members, working to ensure they are knowledgeable of laws and procedures. Assist in the preparation of daily and weekly reports. Cross-train in all facets of cage operations including Drop/Count and Main Bank, both day and overnight shift. Maintain an accurate cash bank and balance money at the end of each shift; investigate all variances and report when applicable. Investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues. Monitor the ticket redemption machines and schedule maintenance as needed. Maintain and manage bank transactions daily when necessary. Maintain NY instant lottery machines. Understand the goals and vision of the organization and demonstrate commitment to those goals in terms of individual and team performance. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Two years of experience in cash handling is required. One to two years of experience in a supervisory / manager role. Must be able to handle large money transactions accurately and reconcile vault impressments. Superior communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to lead in a results-oriented, high-volume environment are required. Flexibility in scheduling required. Must be able to field calls when not on shift and be on call as needed. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, data input, record keeping, and Outlook. Must be able to obtain and maintain a New York State Gaming License. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and push a trolly cart with an approximate weight of 75 lbs or more. Must be able to stand for long periods. Some facets of the cage are physically demanding and must be able to bend, lift, and crouch as needed. Gaming environment, noise levels may be moderate-to-high, including exposure to second-hand smoke.
