Position Summary Under general supervision within established policies and procedures, the position includes performing all functions connected with the processing of ATM / Debit Card claims and then serves as a backup for the Fraud Analyst position. The position makes sound decisions in accordance with bank, department and regulatory policies regarding the processing and disposition of routine and non-routine potentially high-risk customer transactions. The position gives excellent professional customer service to, responds quickly to and interacts professionally with both internal and external customers. The position will also be subjected to other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ATM / Master Money specific responsibilities include: Processes all ATM / Debit Card claims which includes both approved and denied claims Initiates phone calls to same customers in order to obtain information not gathered in their initial contact with bank personnel Fields all irate customer phone calls regarding disputes Fraud Analyst specific responsibilities include: Confirms that checks are properly endorsed Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential Reviews numerous "high importance" Fraud Filters to substantiate legitimacy of items Reviews chargebacks Reviews all ACH credits under $1.00 Initiates daily calls to large debit ACH transaction customers Ability to compare check signatures to customer Signature Cards on checks over $2500.00 Places proper Regulation CC holds on deposits via the Horizon System Actively comply with all applicable laws and regulations to include the Bank Secrecy Act, the Community Reinvestment Act, and all other deposit, lending, or non-deposit service regulations; adhering to the Bank's internal policies, procedures, and risk management responsibilities contained in the Employee Handbook, the Employee Code of Conduct, and other applicable policies. Calls customers who have written checks for $25,000 and over to verify authenticity Reviews numerous "high importance" Fraud Filers to substantiate legitimacy of items Produces a monthly Excel spreadsheet of all department "saves" The position will: Prepare a monthly Excel spreadsheet used in specific Board Reports Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor Knowledge/Abilities/Experience and Training Required: High School Diploma or equivalent 3 years of banking experience Excellent judgement and decision-making skills A self-motivator with the ability to process a high volume of daily transactions Excellent communications skills to interact with customers Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees in order to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
