Overview Do you thrive on building relationships and driving business growth? We're seeking a passionate and results-oriented Business Growth Manager (BGM) to join our dynamic Business Banking team. In this strategic role, you'll play a key role in acquiring and cultivating new business relationships, with a focus on deposit growth and cash management solutions. What You'll Do: Be a hunter and a farmer: Prospect and acquire new business members with an annual revenue of $1-$5 million, while deepening relationships with existing clients to uncover new deposit, cash management, and C&I lending opportunities. Partner for success: Collaborate closely with branch partners to leverage existing portfolios and referrals. Work alongside our Cash Management specialists to identify and implement best-in-class solutions for our business members. Trusted advisor: Become a financial expert for our members, providing insightful guidance and solutions. This includes understanding cash flow analysis, business financials, and RFP review. Growth mindset: Develop and implement strategies to cultivate primary relationships, focusing on exceeding net new deposit acquisition goals. Collaborative spirit: Maintain strong relationships with all Citadel business lines to ensure seamless referrals and a holistic client experience. Who You Are: A proven track record of exceeding sales goals in a business-to-business environment. Experience in building strong relationships with business owners and decision-makers. Strong understanding of deposit products, cash management solutions, and business financial analysis. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to different client needs. Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities Product Knowledge Expert: Maintains an in- depth knowledge of products and services as well as knowledge of competitors and competitive products. Client Acquisition & Growth: Develop networks and leverage partnerships to identify and acquire new business in the $1-5 million revenue range. Client Relationship Management: Build strong, long-term relationships with members by understanding their needs through financial analysis and providing exceptional service. Deposit & Cash Management Focus: Drive deposit growth and implement cash management solutions to meet client needs and exceed revenue targets. Community Engagement: Be a visible representative of Citadel, fostering relationships and business opportunities within the local community. Solution Selling & Collaboration: Proactively identify client needs, recommend appropriate financial solutions, and collaborate with internal teams (credit, cash management) to ensure successful deal closure. Coaching & Development: Partner with Market Managers to make joint calls and coach to enhance their selling skills and uncover growth opportunities. Goal Achievement & Compliance: Drive profitable business growth by exceeding revenue, deposit, loan, and fee income goals, while ensuring all client relationships meet strict compliance standards. Profitability and Accountability: Aggressively grows and maintains a profitable book of business by successfully closing deals to meet or exceed individual and region revenue, contribution margin, fee income, loans, and deposit goals. Qualifications and Education Requirements Undergraduate degree in business/related field or equivalent work experience. 3 to 5 years commercial deposit and lending experience. Proven record of success in a high accountability sales culture. Ability to embrace change and find a path to yes. Five plus years demonstrated sales and business development experience with proven results. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and Excellent presentation skills. In depth knowledge of financial products and banking regulations. Demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge of personal and commercial financial statements. Extensive experience and comprehensive understanding of commercial deposits, lending, and small business operations. Proficient in personal computer applications - PC (MS Windows and Office Products), Client Experience Desktop. Performance Measurements Performance is based on the Citadel corporate scorecard as well as departmental and individual goals. Work Environment This position will be in an office environment with most work done on a computer. Some events may take place outdoors. Reasonable accommodations will be provided.
