The Jr. Analyst will assist the Firm in monitoring corporate and market events to identify situations in which legal claims may be made. The role includes performing discrete research projects as well as competitor monitoring at the direction of the Director of Financial Research & Analysis. Responsibilities: Perform research assignments Navigate court dockets and identify legal pleadings Monitor and report market events Research consumer complaints about companies in a variety of industries Research financial and legal information related to litigation Track and update ongoing legal cases in database format Summarize research findings Qualifications Bachelor's degree Position related experience requirements: Strong research skills Understanding of financial literature, corporate filings, accounting terms, economic concepts Awareness of current events Ability to digest and understand financial and legal information Ability to work on short-term and long-term projects in a timely manner Strong communications skills: both written and verbal Familiarity with legal research preferred Microsoft Office - Excel and PowerPoint skill Bloomberg proficiency preferred Lexis familiarity preferred Office setting / desk job, Telephone and computer work Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
