The role will oversee month-end close, but will also have involvement in budgeting, finance, as well as reporting and ad-hoc projects. Responsibilities: Assist in yearly budget process Month end, quarter end, year end close Responsible for the posting of cash transactions Review and analysis of P&L / Balance sheet accounts Assist with preparation of SEC filings including 10K / 10Q Prepare account reconciliation files for new month end Assist in annual audit performed by external auditors, including the preparation of adequate workpapers that support the financial statements. Ensure organizations financial transactions are properly recorded in the correct accounts within the GL, in compliance with GAAP Business partner cross-functionally with department heads / members to streamline and find efficiencies in the month end process as well as other areas of accounting Other projects as assigned Experience Necessary: 3+ years general ledger/month end close experience Public Accounting experience is a plus CPA is a plus Life Sciences / Pharmaceuticals / Biotech experience is a plus (not required)) Public company experience a plus Interest in growth and professional development
