Join our team as a Finishing Technician and help create high-quality custom crates for various products. What You'll Do: Fabricate wooden crates and packaging solutions for product shipments. Read blueprints and work with precision tools. Measure, cut, and assemble materials using saws, drills, and hammers. Various other Finishign tasks as neccessary. What We're Looking For: Experience with woodworking tools and measuring equipment. Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Responsibilities PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manufacture of one or more of the Company's products in one or more work centers, with moderate supervision. Work is to be performed such that all applicable specifications are met, actual costs are equal to or less than standard costs, due dates are met or bettered and health and safety and environmental rules and regulations are complied with. Manipulates Company materials including, but not limited to, Production Supplies, Raw Materials, Other Materials Purchased, Work In Process, Value Added Items and Finished Goods Sets up molds, jigs and other production tooling Operates a range of production machines. Utilizes mechanical measurement tools to determine dimensions. Performs mathematical calculations Extracts data from drawings, specifications charts, tables, and other documents Adjusts machines and fixtures. Performs preventative maintenance on production machines. Cleans up work areas, machines and production tooling. Records data regarding work performed. Recommends improved procedures and methodologies that yield continuous improvement in activities at the work center/s, including but not limited to production methods that increase acceptance rates of finished goods, decrease production costs, decrease production lead-time, decrease effluent pollution and improve ergonomics Trains coworkers on operating and maintenance procedures and production methods. Provides verbal and written input for drafts of product reference documents including Routings (Bills of Materials), Manufacturing Process Control Work Instructions, Manufacturing Process Control Forms and equipment specific documents including Operating and Preventative Maintenance Instructions. Undertakes any other tasks deemed necessary by management. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Verbal and written comprehension skills normally acquired upon completion of High School Ability to perform Duties and Responsibilities of the job. Ability to read Mechanical Drawings. CNC experience desired. The physical requirements of this position include, but are not limited to, the ability to: Lift product weighing up to 80 lbs. to table height and/or shelf height (up to 6') Stand for extended periods of time Work wearing dust mask appropriate to working conditions Work wearing safety glasses Climb ladders Reach with arms fully extended in any direction Possess full manual dexterity Walk to all areas of the manufacturing factories Move drums weighing up to 500 lbs. with the use of a hand truck Push or pull carts loaded with product Company Website Company Profile ZIRCAR Ceramics, Inc.
