Internal Accountant/Auditor

Position Type: Accounting and Finance/Internal Accountant-Auditor Date Posted: 10/28/2024 Location: IU1 Central Office Closing Date: 11/06/2024 Full-Time Internal Accountant/Auditor (IU1 Central Office). This position will inspect and review, but may also prepare and report, financial transactions and budgetary controls for assigned funds and departments. This position will develop and maintain program-level plans, budgets, forecasts and performance reports. Specifically, the Accountant/Auditor will reconcile programs, estimate costs, support grant development, manage fund allocation and provide quarterly insight into program performance in-terms of budgets vs. forecasts vs. actuals. This position is responsible for assisting in providing the independent local and state auditors with the financial statements of IU1 in accordance with GASB including Single Audit Requirements. Additionally, this position is responsible for assisting with preparation of quarterly and year-end reports and assisting staff in understanding the accounting procedures necessary for individual programs. Bachelor's Degree (Accounting) with five (5) years of professional experience. Experience as a school district administrator or auditor is preferred. Salary Range (Non-Supervisory, I-E Exempt): $74,550-$100,000 (based on professional experience). This is a 12-month (260 day) position.
