Core Values: Integrity : Community : Respect : Excellence : Transformative We are seeking a Manager to join our team! Managers are responsible to Partners, Directors, and Senior Managers. Responsibilities of Managers are similar to those of Senior Associates, but require a higher level of performance and judgment. In addition to management duties, a Manager is responsible for directing all individuals assigned. Managers exhibit the ability to monitor, develop, train, and fully utilize staff members in conjunction with the timely completion of assigned responsibilities. Managers demonstrate strong judgment and communication skills which earn the confidence of clients and superiors. Managers often have primary client responsibility, and, in some cases, a Manager is assigned other key areas of responsibility, including technical and administrative duties. Managers have broad experience in their areas of practice and assume primary supervision for client service. Managers work with other Managers to provide high quality client service and optimize utilization of Firm resources. Managers work with superiors to insure Firm policies and procedures are carried out, and maintain intimate knowledge of current technical issues. Training is ongoing in areas of Firm and personnel management. What your day looks like: Directs engagements, which includes the timeline, budget, schedule, and Associates required. Reviews and prepares workpapers. Manages internal job scheduling. Assures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Assists with research and planning according to the current laws and/or Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Becomes more specialized in one specific area of the Firm's practice. Supervises In-Charge Associates and Associates. May be responsible for several jobs at one time. Assists in training all levels of other Associates in both formal training sessions and on the job training. Has substantial interaction with clients. Assists in the billing process. Responsible for billing and collection for some clients. Participates as needed in administrative activities of the firm. Participates in proposals and other practice development/marketing activities. What you need for this role: Bachelor's degree in Accounting. Master's degree in Accounting preferred. 7+ years of public accounting experience preferred. CPA designation presumptively mandatory. Significant years of specialized, niche, and/or managerial experience - leading engagement teams and being responsible for client relationships - may be considered in place of a CPA designation. Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office Suite. ProSystems, Engagement or other related software experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Highly motivated with strong work ethic and a team player. Willing to stay up to date through continuing education and continuous reading of professional journals. Ability to supervise and train others. Ability to interact well with clients. Developing leadership, interpersonal, supervisory, and technological skills. Involved in community/business associations.
