Contracts Settlements Analyst Location: Chantilly, VA Schedule: Full Time OVERVIEW Caribou Thunder is seeking a Contracts Settlements Analyst to be a part of a contracts team that supports multiple division contracts. This is a fast-paced environment in an office setting. The main responsibilities are processing contract actions and close outs. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in contracts, business administration, or contract law field plus 5 years' experience as a Government Contracting Officer Certification (e.g., Certified Professional Contracts Manager "CPCM", Certified Federal Contracts Manager "CFCM", or industry certification offered by National Contracts Management Association) TS/SCI Required RESPONSIBILITIES Work independently on closeouts, tasked with additional contract modifications as needed. Interact with contractors to get modifications completed and contracts settled. Communicate well verbally with team and written documentation of contract actions. Core hours are 9am to 3pm. Flexible work schedule permitted outside the core hours. No weekend work expected and no extended hours. No travel or relocation required. Review and analyze contract files to ensure all documentation is present, complete and accurate. Determine values and funding on contract to ensure the close out process can proceed. Determine if un-liquated obligations exist and work with the contracting officer, contracting officer technical representative, and contractor to remove excess funding or adjust funding and value as needed. Verify all actions on the contract close-out check list have been completed. Generate modifications to transfer the contract file to the settlements team. Ensure coordination with the contracting officer, contracting officer technical representative and contractor in disposition documentation. Works with the contracting officer to prepare property disposition letters to vendors. Prepare, for contracting officer's review, closeout packages for firm fixed-priced contracts. QAULIFICATIONS Experience working with reporting software and contracts management systems or willing to learn via computer-based training and electronic user guides. Must be familiar with the Federal acquisition regulations. No certifications needed. Must be proficient in Word and Excel. Advanced Outlook user. Understands government property and relevant clauses, policies, and regulations to complete all property disposition relevant to the contract action. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills with different groups and audiences on behalf of the procurement entity.
